FIRST JOB – Anca Boia

We are proud of the Valoris team members, of their professionalism and dedication, and we are happy to introduce you, over the coming period, to a few colleagues for whom Valoris represents their very first workplace.We’re starting with Anca, who began her career with Valoris and is now one of the key members of our community. With great passion for what she does, Anca inspires us every day through her dedication and involvement.

Last year, her hard work and commitment were recognized at the Romanian Contact Center Awards, where she was awarded Best Team Manager – a well-deserved achievement!

1. Tell us one thing that, if you had known it on your first day, would have made everything easier.
One thing that would’ve made my first day easier would have been knowing that asking questions is not only accepted but encouraged. When you’re unsure or unclear about something, no one judges you. Even more, people are here to guide and support you, and knowing that would have boosted my confidence from the beginning.

2. If you could swap roles with someone at Valoris for one day, what would you do and why?
If I could swap roles for a day, I’d choose a leadership position. I’d love to better understand how to manage a large team and the responsibilities that come with that. I’d like to see how major decisions are made, how people are motivated, and what challenges leadership involves.

3. Have you learned something new or surprising about yourself since starting at Valoris? What is it?
I’ve learned a lot about myself since joining Valoris, but the most surprising thing was discovering how much I enjoy working in a team and having a positive impact on those around me. I’ve learned that I can be patient, that I can motivate others, and that I can be there for people. These weren’t skills I had in the beginning, and I’m truly grateful for the chance to develop them.

4. What would you say to someone who’s hesitant to apply for a customer service role?
If someone is hesitant about applying for a customer service role, I’d tell them to give it a try. While it might seem challenging at first, it’s a great opportunity to learn how to communicate effectively, be empathetic, and improve your problem-solving skills. It’s also a field where you can grow quickly and learn a lot — both professionally and personally.

5. If you had to describe your energy at Valoris using three emojis, which would they be?
