Today, we introduce you to Maria Vintilă, who holds the role of Junior Organizational Development Specialist. Maria is a true example of dedication and perseverance, playing an essential role in the growth of our team. 1. Tell us one thing that, if you had known it on your first day, would have made everything easier.
It would have been much easier for me if I had known that I didn’t need to have all the answers from the start and that it’s okay to ask questions when I’m unsure. I’ve been lucky to have a wonderful team and I’ve always felt their support, but in the beginning, I thought that asking questions might make me seem unprepared or that I might be bothering others. Later, I realized that questions are welcomed and that’s exactly how you learn.
2. If you could swap roles with someone at Valoris for one day, what would you do and why?
I would switch roles with someone from the marketing team because that’s the field I studied and the one I’m most passionate about.
3. Have you learned something new or surprising about yourself since starting at Valoris? What is it?
Yes, I’ve discovered that I’m much more resilient than I thought. In the beginning, every challenge—whether it was a difficult customer or a change in procedures—seemed hard to handle. Over time, I realized that I can manage them, ask for help when I need it, and learn from every situation.
4. What would you say to someone who’s hesitant to apply for a customer service role?
I would tell them that it’s a perfect opportunity to grow on a personal level. You learn how to communicate effectively, listen actively, and manage your emotions. It’s not an easy job, but from my perspective, it’s a role that truly strengthens you.
