We are delighted to reveal to you Valoris successful stories’! Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our superheroes, Andreea – Team Leader. Discover her journey and get inspired!
- What do you think we should know about you? Could tell us more about yourself?
When I was a teenager, my nickname was Dede. I liked it because I had such a common name and regarding my other name, Daniela, I felt it didn’t belong to me. At the same time, I used to be introverted and afraid to try new experiences. Today I love my name, I am extroverted and I am looking for new experiences all the time.Morevoer, I will also tell you that I currently hate running, dancing and cooking, but in a few years I could train for a 10k marathon, dance like Shakira and become a Master Chef in a restaurant with many Michelin stars.
- Where did you graduate from and what are your plans?
I’ve graduated the Faculty of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Economics, from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Currently, I am a master student in the last year also within the same faculty, at the master program in Economics and Administration of Agricultural and Food Affairs. I have no short-term plans for the future, but I still plan to settle in a Nordic country one day.
- What was your childhood dream?
Haha! I remember when I was little I dreamed of becoming a police officer and having a red convertible car.
- Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
My favorite hobbies are swimming and volunteering. I also love going to theater shows, driving and traveling in Romania. In my spare time I usually read, go to kickboxing trainings and go for long walks with my dog. Aaah … and recently I introduced a new hobby in my routine: I do sports at home within the Yump platform. Good initiative!
- Do you have a motto? If so, which one?
I wasn’t used to follow a motto, but my father’s death completely changed my view of life. He had a word he used to say to me quite often, “Today, not tomorrow.” I didn’t prioritize the things I wanted to do or needed to do. Well, 5 years after losing my father, I can say that this is the motto that changed my life.
- When did you join the Valoris team?
I joined the Valoris team on February 17, 2020. It’s been a little over a year since then. The funny thing is that I really wanted to work so that I wouldn’t spend so much time at home. Said and done. I was on training for 3 weeks and I worked at our headquarter for a week, and then I came home. Now I like to work from home. It helps me manage my free time more efficiently.
- How was your experience while working for Valoris so far?
I had a very pleasant experience from the beginning, from the first interaction with the HR department. Things are moving fast and efficiently within the company. I was looking for a job that would take me out of my comfort zone and develop my level of adaptability and that’s exactly what I got.
- What do you love most about us?
You are young, energetic and you use to pay attention to details. You are always looking to improve the atmosphere within the company. I really like that about you!
- Finally, what message do you have for your colleagues?
For colleagues who make Valoris work at this level, keep up the good work! For colleagues who are just starting their career in Valoris, be ambitious and enjoy every opportunity to evolve.
