We are delighted to reveal to you Valoris successful stories’! Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our superheroes, Ovidiu – Team Leader. Discover his journey and get inspired!
- What do you think we should know about you? Could tell us more about yourself?
I am proud of myself, of the way I’ve developed as a person and of what I’ve achieved so far. I do what I like and what makes me happy, I laugh often and at the end of the day I can honestly say that I live the life I truly desired. Unfortunately, time is the only thing that makes me feel limited.
- Where did you graduate from and what are your plans?
I graduated from Polytechnical University of Bucharest, most precisely from the Food Engineering Faculty. Currently I’m working for my dissertation exam and I am sad that time flew so fast. Looking forward to the future, I would like to continue following the path that I’ve chosen 6 years ago. I truly relate with the food industry. I have big goals to achieve from now on, but they are not impossible. To make my dream come true, I must be determined and do everything in my power to gain experience and excel.
- What was your childhood dream?
Even if there is a difference between the field I have a degree in and the company I’m currently working for, if I would have to combine all the characteristics of the jobs I’ve dreamed about in my childhood, I would get to the job I’m currently doing. Life is funny sometimes.
- Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
The modern lifestyle has somehow forced us to live on autopilot. We’re so used to the alarm clock, the traffic jam, the long working hours and the few moments spent in front of the TV in the evening, that in your spare time we should try new things, to break the routine. My favorite hobbies include long walks in quiet places, spending time with my loved ones and a less common hobby of mine is gardening.
- Do you have a motto? If so, which one?
The motto that I live by is “An intelligent person solves a problem. A wise person avoids it.” – Albert Einstein.
- When did you join the Valoris team?
I’ve joined Valoris 4 months ago, as a call center agent. I didn’t expect things to develop the way they did and to meet such amazing people within this company. I am glad that I chose to work for Valoris.
- How was your experience while working for Valoris so far?
Valoris represents an excellent environment for professional growth. Here I have the opportunity to work with people who are very good at what they’re doing and to learn a lot. Mostly because I usually learn thing by applying them, I’m very lucky that the Valoris team trusted and supported me in my professional path.
- What do you love most about us?
Being part of numerous other teams so far, I’ve developed the ability to empathize with those around me. When I first started to work here, I hoped to find a friendly working environment and my expectations were met. My colleagues are exactly as I wanted them to be and I’m proud of my evolution. I look forward to continuing growing in the same way. The team I’m being part of also helped me get through every challenge that I’ve encountered, and I hope they’ll remain as supportive as they are now.
9. Finally, what advice do you have for your colleagues?
No matter what your job position is, having to face less pleasant situations is inevitable. If I have to give them some piece of advice, here it is:
- Take your time before jumping to conclusions;
- Improve your communication skills;
- Establish healthy boundries;
- Treat your colleagues with respect;
- Understand and accept cultural differences.
