Valoris Superheroes – Antonia’s story

We are delighted to reveal to you Valoris’ successful stories! Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our superheroes, Antonia – JR HR Business Partner. Discover her journey and get inspired!

What do you think we should know about you? Could tell us more about yourself?

My name is Antonia, I’m 24 years old, I’ve worked in the human resources industry for five years, primarily in recruitment, and for the past month, I’ve been a junior HR business partner in the organizational development division. I am an optimistic and extroverted person, and I think I am at my best when I am with other people. At the same time, I value both teamwork and individual effort. I have a strong passion for art in all its forms, whether making it or just admiring it.

Where did you graduate from and what are your plans?

I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bucharest and specialized in Organizational Psychology. I have ambitious plans, including professional advancement and furthering my career in human resources. To make an active contribution to the development of the company, I want to use the information I’ve acquired both in university and during my five years of recruitment.

What was your childhood dream?

When I was younger, I had a dream of creating a refuge for abandoned animals where I could provide medical attention for sick or injured animals, while promoting adoption through regular visits. Instead of the little metal cages I had seen at the shelter in my hometown, I daydreamed of a large yard where they could spend time outside.

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?

Although I haven’t dedicated so much time to my hobbies lately, I like to create decorative objects from modeling clay and paint them. I also do graphic design or digital paintings using different programs (Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator).

Do you have a motto? If so, which one?

“I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king” – Queen Elizabeth I

When did you join the Valoris team?

I joined the Valoris company on August 17, 2021, being part of the Recruitment team, and starting in July I am part of the Organizational Development team.

How was your experience while working for Valoris so far?

I had the best professional experience so far at Valoris. I feel that I evolved, by having the chance to learn and adapt to a different field than what I had previously faced, both personally and professionally. Throughout the two years, I always felt like a member of the team, and I was given encouragement and praise, which inspired me to demand more from myself. I experienced busy times and handled multiple activities, which only motivated me to overcome any challenges.

What do you love most about us?

What I like most is the community spirit that has been created here at Valoris, from the events and competitions to the welcoming and friendly members of all the teams I have dealt with.

Finally, what message do you have for your colleagues?

My advice for colleagues from Valoris is to accept challenges and be open to learning, to develop their own skills and open their horizons. Don’t hold back from building relationships and be open to asking for and offer support when you have the opportunity. If you show proactivity and take the initiative by proposing new ideas or finding ways to perform tasks more efficiently, you bring added value to both the team and you.
